ABOUT ME

Ever since I was a kid (some will say I am still a kid at 16, but that is a post for another day), I have enjoyed board games with my family and friends. As early as age 10, I began to suggest modifications to the game elements. This sometimes exasperated some of my friends, but most often, we tried out the more complex version of our beloved board games. More recently, in High School, I created a new economics game which initially started with the intent to make Economics fun for my friends but when the game became popular in my sophomore year, it led me to dive deeper into the world of gamification for education and I thought I would share my experience, research, learnings, and overall musings on this fascinating topic with all of you.

I founded Games We Play, a non-profit registered in Trenton, NJ with the goal of spreading game-based learning to all. In this non-profit we have worked tirelessly with school districts, local community schools, county community colleges, and children development NGOs to further this cause to K-12 students as well as some corporate programs for employees.

This website is an interactive forum for people who share my passion for learning with games. My posts dissect the wonderful and diverse world of learning, taking deep dives into various relevant topics that will help demystify a number of educational themes and subjects.

As Hiral Nagda once inspired me with his quote “Don't do it for applause. Do it because it ignites a fire inside you.” And this truly does. Come join me and let’s make a difference together.
